Many of leading climate-change authorities from South Florida and across the nation head to Florida Keys — one of the nation’s most vulnerable areas to sea-level rise — in early December.

Up to 400 people are expected for the 2015 Southeast Florida Regional Climate Leadership Summit, taking place Dec. 1 to 3 at the Casa Marina resort on Reynolds Street in Key West.

Monroe County hosts the seventh annual summit of the Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact, which also includes officials from Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, to share “climate-related collaboration and knowledge-sharing [that] attracts innovative thinkers and leaders from business, government, academia and the non-profit community.”
