Sea-level rise could impact roads, fire stations, schools, the property around water-treatment and nuclear plants and other infrastructure on the Treasure Coast after the turn of the century, and in some cases sooner, studies show.

Treasure Coast Newspapers used five studies in its report on the effect of sea-level rise on the region.

Kate Boer, Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council emergency programs director, said more studies on sea-level rise should be done for the region.
